Live Cam located in De Liede, east Haarlem, Netherlands
Breeding spoonbills along the cycle path
The riparian countries of De Liede form a pearl on the east side of Haarlem. This small nature reserve is managed by Landschap Noord-Holland . Very special plants grow here, including the carnivorous plant sundew. But the most special is the spoonbill colony. Because a railway line and a highway intersect with De Liede, two different parts have been created, each with its own character. The Liede was originally a peat stream that brought water from a peat bog to the IJ. It has many landscape surprises.
